STILLS AND VIDEO WITH A CINEMATIC TOUCH

No matter how much I shoot, I never grow tired of photography, in fact it shapes the way I see the world. I'm endlessly fascinated by people and the stories they carry. I am obsessed with creating atmospheric, cinematic images. I'm not sure if that's because I’m also a filmmaker, or if that's why I'm also a filmmaker. I actually started shooting my own films just as the digital revolution was taking off, and now I'm in post production on my 4th feature film. I’ve been hands on with the technology ever since, evolving alongside it. Now, it’s finally possible to achieve the quality I always envisioned, even as a solo shooter.
Whether it’s a quiet, intimate study or a wild, whirling blaze of colour, I’m always looking for a way to reveal something about my subject. It might be as simple as a fleeting expression, or unguarded gesture, or it might take an elaborate setup with props, costumes, and a full crew to bring it to life. But the goal is always the same: to find something, to see something, to share something true, something that would otherwise stay hidden. There are so many intermingled layers to each one of us and I try to capture some of that complexity
Photography isn’t just a thing I do for money or a service to clients. it’s a deep personal passion. Both my street photography and portrait work have been exhibited, and I continue to develop projects that explore the human predicament. I’m fascinated by both the pitfalls and consolations of life, loneliness and connection, love and loss, youth and age, and all the many forms of wealth and destitution. And, of course, like all photographers, sometimes I just have a burning need to make something beautiful
My heart belongs to the street. I found myself as a teenager by roaming around when I should have been in school and talking to strangers. My camera gives me a license to keep on doing just that.

The best headshots have a sense of presence to them, as if the subject is really there somehow. It's more than just a likeness, it’s an introduction. Whether it's for actors, creatives, or professionals, I aim to strike the balance between showing someone in their most flattering light and revealing what really animates them and makes them tick. I want the viewer to feel like they’ve actually met the person in the photo

Strong imagery is an essential part of building a brand, and each company will have their own aesthetics and values, which it's my job to adapt to. The funny thing is though, at its core, it does always seem to be about people and about stories. Whether it’s dynamic team portraits, behind the scenes images, or high-end corporate headshots and films, the real power lies in what they communicate about the people who bring products and services to life and the stories behind how they go about it.
I have an incredibly strong drive to make independent films. Despite being small compared to studio pictures, they are absolutely massive undertakings for an individual. I make films in the way that some people climb mountains or run marathons. It's a challenge that I absolutely cannot resist
